How It Works
Super matches job seekers with potential employers based on their preferences and qualifications, similar to how Tinder matches people based on their interests and location. Users can swipe left or right on job postings to indicate interest, and employers can do the same on candidate profiles.

Problem
The Job-Search Landscape
At 'Super', we recognized that the existing job search process was cumbersome, characterized by clunky websites with lengthy forms and messy application procedures. We observed that users had to create profiles across multiple job search apps, struggled to showcase their skills, job experience, strengths, and personality through a resume. Further reaching out to companies required additional steps and effort like cover letters, while correspondance with recruiters and/or hiring managers was tedious and slow.

Individual Challenges
Recruiters face challenges in hiring good talent, especially for niche roles, which can be time-consuming and complicated by the use of multiple job platforms. This lack of standardization in the hiring process adds to the difficulty faced by both candidates and recruiters.

Signal vs. Noise — A Shared Dilemma
The job search and recruitment landscape is often overwhelming due to the abundance of options that lack relevance. This creates a sense of frustration and lack of control for both job-seekers and recruiters. We aimed to address these issues by providing a fast, simple, and even enjoyable experience in its place.
Approach
For Recruiters
Our approach focused on mobile-first design and replacing traditional resumes with a more intuitive and compact alternative, to ease recruiters' burden of sifting through hundreds of resumes to identify the right candidate. We aimed to streamline the hiring process and simplify candidate communication for faster and more efficient hiring.

For Candidates
We tackled job seekers' challenges by offering filters to identify jobs and companies based on culture, structure, founders, team, and benefits. We also simplified the application process by eliminating multiple forms and cover letters, and enabled candidates to create rich profiles showcasing their strengths, experience, and personality without traditional resumes.

Solution
Reviewing Companies
Adopting the Tinder-style, we condensed the essence of a company and the role into a compact card featuring key points for candidates to decide quickly whether to pursue it or not. The left-swiped cards went into an archive, allowing candidates to review them if they did not receive a response from the places they had applied to.

Company Profile
To assist job-seekers, our objective was to recognize their pain points and support them in their job search process. One approach was to provide all the crucial information about the company, including expectations from the role, Tech stack utilized, services offered, operating locations, and more, to simplify the process and help job-seekers make informed decisions.
Take a peek inside
Our objective was to provide job seekers with an immersive experience of the company, as they would be spending a considerable amount of time there. We created a panoramic view of the office to offer a realistic portrayal of the workspace, along with other office statistics such as gender diversity, office design, average age group, and the number of employees.

Meet your next team
In order to enhance job seeker experience, we incorporated 'Super Spotlights' in our product, which consisted of short interviews of employees across all levels within the company. This feature aimed to provide potential candidates with insights into the company's culture and the people they could work with next.
Review Candidates
To facilitate efficient shortlisting, we designed the company cards to be scannable with succinct yet pertinent information, including work experience, alma mater, key skills, and location. Additionally, we found that indicating online availability increased recruiter engagement and prompted quicker conversations with potential candidates.

Job Seeker's Profile for the Web
Super provided candidates with the ability to create impressive profiles, incorporating links to their case studies, GitHub, and Stack Overflow pages, as well as highlighting their strengths, preferred workplace environments, and personal attributes. Super empowered candidates to showcase their unique personality traits and achievements, providing recruiters with a comprehensive view of their potential as a candidate.
Fast Onboarding
We made creating rich profiles easy by using a conversational onboarding process that made it less tedious for candidates to input their data. This approach got an 88% completion rate and was well-liked by users, helping us gather necessary information quickly.

Get Talking Instantly
We introduced a messaging feature that allowed instant communication and file sharing between candidates and recruiters, addressing the challenge of slow correspondence. This helped to significantly reduce the Time to Hire, a key metric for recruiters, and was a novel feature when introduced in 2014.

Results
Outcome
During our time with Super, we achieved significant milestones including raising over 2M in our Series A round, being selected for the Google Startups Accelarator Program, and holding the # 1 rank under Job Apps in India's PlayStore. Super was later acquired by Crowdfire in 2016, and subsequently discontinued.
